Food for Thought Worldwide (FTW) Ventures is an early-stage venture fund investing in breakthrough hardware, software and biotech solutions for the massive, worldwide Food System. We believe in feeding people better by leveraging responsible science & technology to improve the quality, access and enjoyment of food.
FTW Ventures was founded by Brian Frank, a serial entrepreneur turned investor, that now serves as its General Partner.
Prior to launching the fund, Brian spent the past 20 years defining product strategy in the leading Web, Mobile and Social technology companies, both large and small. He's served as a visionary Product Manager at major corporations such as Palm, Adobe & Twitter and has led teams at innovative startups such as bCandid (acquired by Software.com), Posterous (acquired by Twitter) and Timeful (acquired by Google).
Brian has invested in high-growth startups including Square Roots, Spoiler Alert, Nomiku, Proper Foods & Geltor. In addition to providing support to the teams mentioned, Brian serves as an advisor to Philz Coffee and Dishcraft Robotics and he acts as a mentor for companies in his extensive investor and accelerator network, at places such as Lemnos Labs, indie.bio, HAX, Food-X and Highway1.
